On July 14, 2015 I will be skipper of a 40 foot Benetueau sailboat with a crew of 6 as we sail from Nanaimo, British Columbia north to an area called Desolation Sound. I have been here some 25 years ago on a sailing course. This time I have an experienced crew of 5 plus myself. Last fall when I circumnavigated Vancouver Island I covered the first two days of this trip. As the second day of this trip progresses we will head easterly instead of west if you were circumnaviating Vancouver Island.
