In the summer of 2013 a friend, my wife and I attempted to climb Ha Ling peak. We spent about 80% of the hike in the trees. It was a hot July day so it was warm hiking, There were a lot of people going up the mountain that day. The trail wasn’t a well groomed path but a worn path through the trees. When we broke out of the tree at the tree line the temperature dropped to the point we had to put our jackets on. We were able to make it to the view back down to Canmore. We will try to make the top in the summer of 2015.
